Ingredients:
- 1 ribeye steak (or your preferred cut)
- 2-4 large eggs
- 2 tbsp butter or beef tallow
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions:
- Season the ribeye steak with salt and pepper.
- Heat a pan over medium-high heat and melt the butter or tallow.
- Sear the steak on both sides for 3-5 minutes, depending on your desired level of doneness (rare, medium, etc.).
- Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for a few minutes.
- In the same pan, crack the eggs into the steak drippings. You can fry them sunny side up or scramble them, depending on your preference.
- Serve the eggs alongside the steak for a hearty, protein-packed meal.
Why It’s Healthy:
Steak and eggs offer an excellent balance of protein and fats. The ribeye is rich in healthy fats, particularly omega-3 fatty acids, and high-quality protein, which supports muscle repair and growth. Eggs add more protein, as well as essential vitamins like B12, D, and choline, which are crucial for brain function and energy metabolism. This meal helps keep energy levels stable and supports fat burning, making it ideal for those on the Carnivore Diet.
