Bacon and Bone Broth Soup

a Meat-Only Diet

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 2 cups homemade bone broth
  • 2-3 large eggs, poached or boiled
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a pot, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy.
  2. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the fat in the pot.
  3. Add the bone broth to the pot and bring it to a simmer.
  4. Poach or boil the eggs in a separate pot.
  5. Once the broth is heated through, add the crispy bacon and eggs to the soup.
  6. Season with salt and pepper, then serve hot.

Why It’s Healthy:

Bone broth is rich in collagen, which supports joint, skin, and gut health. It’s also full of minerals like calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus. Bacon adds healthy fats and a savory flavor, while the poached or boiled eggs provide protein and additional nutrients like choline and vitamin D. This breakfast soup is warming, nutrient-dense, and great for digestive health.
